Peru

In February 2025, we provided the Ondas de Latinoamérica team with ultrasound devices for an educational bootcamp in Lima, led by Dr. Andrea Dreyfuss and Dr. David Martin. The course brought together emergency medicine residents from Hospital Nacional Dos de Mayo, Hospital Nacional Arzobispo Loayza, and Hospital Nacional Cayetano Heredia for a highly productive hands-on training. The sessions strengthened participants’ diagnostic and therapeutic capabilities through focused ultrasound education. Building on this success, our hope is to further expand the important groundwork laid by the local emergency medicine society, the Sociedad Peruana de Medicina de Emergencias y Desastres (SPMED).
