Uganda

Working closely with Dr. Jessica Schmidt and her team from the University of Wisconsin, Department of Emergency Medicine, we implemented a point-of-care ultrasound course for the physicians at Mbale Regional Referral Hospital (led by Dr. Peter Olupot Olupot) and the emergency medicine residency at Mulago National Referral Hospital (lef by Dr. Joseph Kalanzi). From there, we are expanding access to the use of ultrasound to all of the regional hospitals throughout the country via device donation and train-the-trainer programs.
