Atlas Global Health advances emergency medicine worldwide through education and collaboration.

We believe lasting progress begins with local leadership. Our role is to support local priorities by connecting healthcare leaders with the expertise, partnerships, and resources they need to succeed.

Our greatest strength is our global network, which allows us to build meaningful relationships, mobilize support, and strengthen local capabilities long beyond our direct involvement.

There are three ways to become part of this network.

Three Ways to Join

Become an EM-bassador

EM-bassadors are emergency medicine leaders who use their local knowledge and relationships to connect communities with Atlas's global network. As an EM-bassador, you can:

  • Identify Opportunities: Share locally identified needs and priorities.
  • Build Connections: Connect with physicians, hospitals, residency programs, and professional societies.
  • Support Initiatives: Help mobilize partnerships and resources around local goals.

Ideal for: Emergency medicine physicians, educators, and leaders with strong regional connections.

  • Identify Opportunities: Share local needs or introduce existing partners.
  • Contribute Resources: Provide expertise, faculty, equipment, or funding.
  • Build Partnerships: Establish lasting relationships that extend beyond individual projects.

Ideal for: Institutions and organizations committed to advancing emergency medicine

Teach With Atlas

We connect experienced emergency medicine educators with locally led training initiatives, emphasizing practical education and sustainable skill development. As a volunteer educator, you can:

  • Share Expertise: Teach ultrasound, resuscitation, trauma care, or other requested specialties.
  • Train Local Faculty: Develop local educators through a train-the-trainer approach.
  • Collaborate: Work alongside local colleagues to address their educational priorities.

Ideal for: Experienced emergency medicine educators

How it Works

To Get Involved:

To Get Involved:

Local Leadership: Local leaders identify priorities and lead initiatives. Atlas supports their efforts while ensuring ownership remains with the communities we serve.

Strategic Connections: Our greatest resource is our global network. We bring together the right people, institutions, and resources to make locally driven initiatives possible.

Sustainable Education: We prioritize train-the-trainer programs, locally owned curricula, and lasting capabilities over short-term interventions.

Meaningful Commitment: Atlas is not a platform for one-time medical trips. We seek collaborators committed to local priorities, enduring partnerships, and sustainable impact.

To Get Involved:

  1. Reach out. Use the form below. Tell us who you are, where you are based, and what you have in mind.
  2. Have a conversation. We will talk about the need, who is leading locally, what already exists, and whether Atlas can genuinely help.
  3. Start with one concrete step. An introduction, a needs assessment, or a first teaching session in support of a local leader's goal. Good working relationships grow from a specific beginning.

Atlas Nexus

The Atlas Nexus is the living network behind everything we do. These are some of the hospitals, universities, professional societies, and nonprofits in our network. Each relationship here is a working one, and many of them connect people and places in more than one country. You will find the leaders and the stories behind them on the country pages.
